The Importance of Physical Attraction

So you see your dream guy or girl across the room. They're charming, smart, funny, and everything else you want. Only problem is they are slightly lacking in the looks department. Do you approach them? Surprisingly most people would say no. Although it might sound shallow, looks matter one way or another. Studies show that women are more likely to prefer facial features while men prefer the female body. Now this doesn't mean that you need to look like a super model to get a date, what this means is that you need to take an interest in your appearance and make an effort to improve it. Keep in mind that everyone's perspective of attraction is different and that there is no one look to make you attractive to everyone. Attraction has also been shown to build over time. Earlier we discussed a few of the most common reasons as to why men cheat on their partners. Believe it or not, women have been known to cheat just as much as men do, although their reasoning for it might be different.

Self-esteem

Sex can be an instant self – esteem booster. Women can be very insecure about their looks and if you aren’t making your partner feel like she is beautiful, she is more likely to turn to someone who is.

Let's face it, cheating is always going to be a hot topic for anyone in a relationship. We've all had the thought cross our minds or had suspicions, but how can you be sure? Be sure to think and talk things through with your partner before jumping to conclusions and accusing them of cheating.

1. Evasive Answers

Your partner gives evasive answers about simple questions or they suddenly seem extra defensive about things.

Your partner takes a brand new interest in their appearance. Now they might be doing this as something to improve themselves, but if they don't care if you notice or downplay your compliments, it could be a sign that he or she is trying to impress someone else.

3. Become Secretive

Your partner refuses to tell you about their day or answer simple questions. They might even get angry at you for asking or accuse you of not trusting them.

4. Unexpected Over Time or Business Trips

Finding time to get out of the house without raising suspicion can be pretty difficult. Work is often one of the main excuses used since you are a lot less likely to question them about it.

If you are constantly having your calls unanswered and having to leave messages, it could be that your partner is to preoccupied with their new relationship.

How To Let Him Know You Are Interested

Ever tried telling a guy you’re interested? Not so easy is it. Luckily, you might not have to say anything at all. Learning how to use body language and using it properly should be more than enough to help you get your point across. Below are a few things you can do to help you show him your interested non-verbally.

Eye Contact

Usually the first way people connect is through eye contact. Make eye contact and hold your gaze just a few seconds longer than you normally would then look away. Look back to see if he is still looking at you. If he is, he’s most likely showing some mutual attraction.

Arms Crossed

Don’t cross your arms. Crossing your arms is like putting a barrier in between the two of you. You want to seem approachable and not like your trying to put distance between you two so keep them uncrossed.

Get Close

If you want a guy to hit on you, get close to help make it happen. Don’t hang out in a large group of girls or sit together huddled in a corner with your backs to everyone. You don’t have to walk right up to him but do try to close the gap between you two a little.

Touching

Once you’ve closed the physical gap and started talking, be sure to invade his personal space by gently touching him in a non sexual way. Gently touch his arm when you laugh at one of his jokes or take him by the hand if you two are moving through a crowd.

These days almost anyone you meet will have some form of social network. Myspace,Facebook,Twitter, or any of the social networks can be a great way to keep in touch and keep up with current events, but have you ever considered how these websites might affect your relationship? Below is a list of the most common problems social networks can cause for your relationship and a few tips on how to avoid them.

Too Much Information

In the heat of the moment it’s tempting to vent your anger online, but does the world really need to know your personal problems? Call a friend instead. Arguing online for everyone to see is like having a screaming match in public.

The Past

The past should stay in the past. Getting friend requests from an ex girlfriend or boyfriend or tagging them in photos is one of the easiest ways to bring up some jealousy and start an argument.

Trust

You and your partner should be friends on any social networks you use. If they refuse or don’t let you see things on their page you have every right to be suspicious. If the issue of trust comes up you and your partner should be willing to share e-mails, text messages, or login information to provide each other reassurance.

Relationship Status

Anyone involved in a relationship should have it clearly stated on their page. There are a few exceptions but most of the time if your partner is refusing to state their in a relationship on their social network, consider it a red flag.

Sharing Information

Be careful about what you share online. You and your partner should agree on what’s shared online with others. Some people have no problem sharing every detail of their life online while others may choose to keep most things between the two of you.
